Traditionally associated with Fairies, and sometimes Witches. It is said that if you sleep under a Hawthorn, you may be whisked away by Fairies.

In China, rolls and thin roundels of Hawthorn are sold as sweets.

Largely used to create boundaries around farms.

Contains spines to protect itself from being eaten, but it is often eaten by certain animals.
